Finding joy in the journey 🌱

Finding joy in the journey 🌱

We’ve been taught to chase the outcome.
The goal.
The moment we arrive.

But what if the outcome isn’t the point?

So many of my clients come to me with big, bold goals:
To pivot careers. Launch something new. Move countries. Reclaim freedom.

And I love outrageous goals.
But the ones that stick — the ones that truly change us — aren’t fuelled by pressure.

They’re rooted in joy.
And joy lives in the process.

In showing up for the early morning journaling session.
In experimenting. Failing. Laughing.
In letting go of needing to have it all figured out.

Here’s the thing: Most of us have been living life like we’re in a speedboat — heading towards some imaginary desert island. Dodging burning ships, attack helicopters, and obstacles at every turn. The adrenaline got us far. But eventually, the cost catches up. That was definitely true for me.

What if instead, you boarded the Orient Express?
A slower, elegant ride. Still moving forward. But with space to notice the scenery. Sip something warm. Reflect. Enjoy.

Because here’s the thing:
If we wait until we’ve achieved the goal to allow ourselves to feel good, we’re chasing a finish line that keeps moving.

But if we choose joy along the way?
If we build a life that feels good now — before the business is sold, the title is earned, the house is bought — we create something sustainable.
Something alive.

Something that doesn’t rely on external achievement to be worth it.

And if you're loving the ride you'll achieve so much more because you'll be present enough to spot the opportunities and you'll have no reason to give up!

So let me ask you:

✨ What if you measured success by how much you enjoyed the ride?
✨ What if the path didn’t need to be perfect — just yours?
✨ What would change if you replaced pressure with presence?

You don’t need to delay joy.
You don’t need to earn it.

Start by choosing one small thing today that feels good to do — just for you.

Even five minutes of dancing in the kitchen counts.
Especially that.

PS: If you’ve forgotten how to enjoy the journey… you’re not alone.
This is where the real transformation begins.
